Flights & Flavours
Explore five of The Benchlands' finest wineries, with lots to sip and savour - including lunch at Redstone Winery & Restaurant.
Locust Lane Estate Winery
Locust Lane Estate Winery produces distinctive wines that reveal a sense of place. Boasting unobstructed views of the rolling vineyards that descend toward Lake Ontario and beyond to the Toronto skyline in the distance, Locust Lane offers an unspoiled natural setting that feels a world away from the rush of the 21st century. Winemaker Jeff Innes has spent more than 20 years refining his approach to winemaking, to create elegant and balanced wines that honour their local environment.

Redstone Winery & Restaurant
Redstone Winery is the latest venture by Moray Tawse and his award-winning winemaking team. In his quest to explore terroir, he purchased the 38-acre Lincoln Lakeshore property in 2009. The winery is named for its red clay soil and large stones, perfect for late-ripening varietals. The hospitality centre is home to a tasting room, restaurant and patio.
Enjoy a fabulous vineyard lunch that includes a fresh salad, a personal wood-oven pizza and a glass of wine.
2027 Cellars
2027 Cellars was started in 2007 by winemaker Kevin Panagapka and his wife Jodie. Named after the grower number allotted for the vineyard, this winery, based out of Calamus Estate Winery, focuses on terroir-driven, single-vineyard Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Pinot Gris and Cabernet Franc from the Niagara Escarpment. The focus on ‘Terroir’ and the individuality of every single vineyard creates wines with a sense of place, quality and personality.

Flat Rock Cellars
Since opening in 2005, Ed Madronich has injected fun and enthusiasm into both the wine and the winery experience. The five-level gravity-fed winery sits atop the escarpment with an incredible 360° view of the vineyards, Lake Ontario and the Toronto Skyline. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, made by Allison Findlay, are the winery’s focus but the Rieslings, especially Nadja’s Vineyard, are consistently recognized among Canada’s best.
Creekside Estate Winery
Nestled in the quaint Jordan Village, Creekside Estate Winery consistently delivers a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and exceptionally complex, bright wines. Celebrating 20 years, winemaker Rob Power has crafted decidedly bold wines, with the Syrah being awarded Ontario’s Best Red in 2016
