Breaking Bread & Building Brix
Taste and tour through five great wineries in Niagara-on-the-Lake - including a stop for lunch at Caroline Cellars.
Palatine Hills Estate Winery
More than 30 years ago, owners John and Barbara Neufeld saw the immense potential of their 95-hectare Niagara Lakeshore property. Situated in the fruit belt, the vineyard first grew grapes for consumption before the family turned its focus to winemaking. Today, Palatine Hills Estate Winery is truly a family affair, with two generations of Neufelds sharing their passion for winemaking and continuing to produce award-winning wines enjoyed by many.

Pillitteri Estate Winery
Since arriving in Niagara, Canada in 1948, the Pillitteri family has been committed to creating a legacy for generations to follow. Now, over six decades later, Pillitteri Estates Winery proudly continues a family tradition of viticulture and winemaking excellence.
Enjoy a 45 minute tour experience and learn about wine styles, how wine is made and discuss food pairing options. All while you taste through some of their most popular wines where they are made, including on their production facility mezzanine and in the barrel cellar. Following the tour, allow one of their wine experts to help you choose the wines you will love to take home.
Caroline Cellars
The Lakeit family – with a half-century of farming history behind them – opened Caroline Cellars in 2002. Focusing on fresh and approachable wines made by Rick Lakeit and Assistant Winemaker, Victor Blaney, the award-winning portfolio includes both white and red varietals, a small selection of fruit wine and critically acclaimed and awarded Icewine.
Enjoy relaxed, wine-country fare from the Farmhouse Cafe at Caroline Cellars. Menu items are made in-house, sourcing local in-season ingredients from the local farming community. The result is a fresh, homey and comforting menu with wine country flare.

Reif Estate Winery
One of Niagara-on-the-Lake’s founding family wineries, founded in 1982 by Ewald Reif and later acquired by nephew Klaus W. Reif. Today, Reif produces wines from its vineyard first planted in 1977. The winery boasts one of the most sophisticated, educational tasting room experiences in Niagara. The 125-acre farm is located in the Niagara River sub-appellation where sun-loving grape varieties grow best.
Between The Lines
Over the past 10 years, Between The Lines process has been perfected through experimenting with the various techniques and exploring inventive winemaking methods led by winemakers Greg and Yannick Wertsch. The result is a distinguished portfolio of wines that possess a precise flavour and appeal to new wine drinkers and the most seasoned palates. Experience wines from one of Niagara's smallest batch producers. Taste through the Wertsch brothers exciting wines sourced from on site vineyards in the heart of the Four Mile Creek DVA.
